Igor Gulenko
Artist, Set and Costume Designer, Laureate of State Prizes.
Graduated from the P. Benkov Art School in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Received higher education at the Tashkent State Theater and Art Institute.
Since 1981, he worked as a production designer at the "Uzbekfilm" studio on films such as "Youth of the Genius," "Farewell to the Summer Green," "Iron Woman," "Orlando" (a UK production), and others. Most of these films were awarded the main prizes at international festivals in Delhi, Moscow, and Almaty.
Personal exhibitions of Igor Gulenko’s paintings were held in Poland, Spain, Russia, Germany, and Morocco.
His works are exhibited in the State Museum of Uzbekistan, in the film museums of Tashkent and Moscow, in Samarkand, in public institutions, and in private collections in the UK, USA, Spain, Israel, Turkey, Germany, France, Poland, and other countries.
Creative trips to Nepal, India, Israel, and Tibet enriched the artist's talent.
Since 1996, he worked at the Youth Theater of Uzbekistan, successfully engaging in scenography. He was the author of the scenography and costumes for the theater's performances directed by Nabi Abdurakhmanov:
"Parable Of Love Given,"
"The Little Match Girl,"
"Kholstomer,"
" Constellation of Omar Khayyam,"
"Turandot, The Princess,"
"The Eternal Dancer of Sharora."
He actively worked abroad. In collaboration with director N. Abdurakhmanov, he participated in the productions of "Kholstomer" and "Turandot, The Princess" in Israel.
